THE NUMBER 1 RULE IN SALES

Thursday, November 3rd, 2016 by Matt

I am so frustrated at the moment.

My wife and I have been saving up for ages for our dream bathroom and it’s not going to plan.

I’ve created the layout of the bathroom in an awesome PowerPoint presentation design – hey, am a self-confessed PowerPoint geek afterall…

I’m also normally a keen DIYer, happy to try and tackle a lot of the installation work myself.

However, the fact we have an energetic 2-year-old bombing around when I get home has put a bit of a kibosh on me doing the work myself, even though the thought of Jack running around in a bright yellow hard hat with a toy hammer does make me smile!

But the realistic thought of trying to do all the work, keep a toddler out of harms way and the fact it would taker closer to a year than a month for me to do, lead us to a logical conclusion…

Pay someone else to do it!

Simple, or so I thought, find someone reputable, call them up and book them in…

However…

I started the ball rolling by asking friends for recommendations, I got a number, left a message. Left another message and another… and had to accept the fact, this builder isn’t calling back…

So I gave up on him and decided to post our bathroom project on those trade websites – you know the kind, you post a job and relevant companies will contact you.

2 weeks passed and I didn’t hear a bean!

I then Googled “Bathroom fitters” which of course returned several hundred results.

I contacted one promising company several times via email, and 3 times over the phone, each time being promised I would be called back…

But again – I heard nothing!

What is going on? Do these people not realise I have money I want to spend with them?

Their lackadaisical approach to new sales leads beggars belief.

How can any business, in any industry afford to ignore contacting a new lead?

What frustrates me most is the fact I work for a presentation design company that prides itself on great communication.

If someone sends a contact request to Eyeful, we get back to them within 2 hours or the following morning, if it arrives outside of office hours.

That’s our number 1 rule in sales. If you’re going to be good enough to consider working with us, we won’t just bend over backwards to deliver you a world beating presentation, we’ll also aim to make your project feel as important and special as it really is.

Here’s some rather lovely and recent feedback to prove my point…

“I spoke to 3 different companies and gave the same information. Eyeful Presentations were heads and shoulders above the rest. Why? Predominantly due to the guy I dealt with being patient, interested, with a great attitude and I had the feeling he wanted our business.

I am the corporate and strategy director for a business travel firm with a strong focus on customer experience, so I am very, very hard to please. I give Eyeful 10/10 for this experience.”

Put Eyeful to the test just call 01455 826390 or email us.

I’m now off to B&Q wondering, if only Eyeful did bathrooms…
